On June 16th 2023, at the invitation of Catholic Archbishop Richard Smith, representatives of his Catholic Archdiocese as well as members of the Board of the Edmonton Council of Muslim Communities met at his residence for tea to discuss potential collaboration between the Christian and Muslim Communities including the revival of the "charter of solidarity" project, which was initiated by some members of Muslim community prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.
