The the Blood Drive Committee of Edmonton Council of Muslim Communities is pleased to announce its new initiative, Compassion in Action, a community blood drive dedicated to serving those in critical need. As we are reminded in the Qur’an, “whoever saves one life it is as if he had saved all of mankind” (Surah Al-Ma’idah 5:32). This powerful teaching calls us to act with compassion and purpose in support of others.
Through this initiative, we hope to embody that spirit by helping patients who depend on blood donations to survive. It also reflects the profound legacy of sacrifice and devotion demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), a central theme as we approach Eid al-Adha.
We have secured 40 donation appointments for May 23, 2026. We encourage you to take part in this meaningful effort for the betterment of the Edmonton community. Please review the registration details and sign up at your earliest convenience.
